Mum Reset

Here’s something I thought to illustrate - to share some of the messy realities of being a woman trying to look after herself while caring for others. I’ll call this the Mum Reset.

I’ve been so preoccupied with schedules, routines and creating products on top of that. ALSO managing my startup all on my own, that I realised… the person I’ve been seeing in the mirror is not me.

I mean, she is me on the inside.

But the exterior is showing something else.

So I searched for a second-hand treadmill for home use. Basically to remove the challenge of getting ready for the gym and succumbing to the tropical HEAT 😪 no thank you…

And I decided I’m going to try making small changes in my daily habits.

To be healthy again.

Spiritually, mentally, physically, and emotionally.

Throw away the thought that a mummy makeover means expensive procedures, diets, and crazy workout routines.

Just stick to one goal: no zero days.

I will WALK.

Even if it’s just five minutes.

So the reality of this sketch is basically my Tuesday morning.

I felt like it was time to move (at 6am), even before sleep had left me.

Before I had time to change my mind, I put my sneakers on (they’re always on the treadmill) and started walking.

The goal was 10 minutes.

If I only reach 5, that’s okay.

Slow and steady wins the race, right?
